Indoor air pollution: an international health problem!
The quality of the indoor air we breathe is important for our health and well-being.
The less dust and fewer allergens, micro-organisms and chemical contaminants we breathe in, the lower the risk of becoming unwell.
According to recent studies by the leading institutions WHO (World Health Organisation) and EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency), the indoor air in our living, working and mobility areas is often 2 to 5 and even up to 100 times more polluted than the air outside due to the biological and chemical load!
The problem is compounded by today’s method of energy-efficient construction. As a result, inadequate ventilation often causes undisturbed propagation of bacteria, viruses, house dust mites, mould, fine dust and
pollen in our indoor spaces.
Given the increasing impact due to fine dust and pollutants, clean indoor air can no longer be taken for granted. The quality of breathing air has deteriorated markedly in recent years. Everywhere in our indoor spaces, bacteria, viruses, dust mites, mould, fine dust and pollen can spread undisturbed.
Plenty of reasons to pay attention to the quality of your indoor air.

By applying six up-to-date filter technologies, the CA-502Pro Compact Smart air purifier creates clean, fresh breathing air and offers protection against:
• Dust/fine dust
• Bird dust
• Bacteria and viruses
• Cigarette/tobacco smoke
• Odours
• Gases
• Fine particles (PM2.5)
• TVOC's
• Hair and dander
• House dust mites
• Mould spores
• Pollen
Its compact design, neutral colour scheme and ultra-quiet operation make the Clean Air Optima® CA-502Pro Mini HEPA UV ioniser air purifier suitable for use in any interior. The wide and effective filter spectrum makes the CA-502Pro Mini air purifier especially suitable for people suffering from asthma, bronchitis, COPD, allergies and a weak immune system.
Clean Air Optima® DUAL Airflow System Air Purifier
Effective air cleaning in six steps
1. Two-sided horizontal intake
Polluted indoor air is drawn in by a low-noise powerful fan.
2. Two pre-filters/activated carbon filters
Two pre-filters capture larger dust particles and other pollutants, such as pet hair and dander. Both activated carbon filters effectively filter gases, chemicals, cigarette smoke, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odours such as pet, mould, kitchen and paint odours, formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, nicotine, etc. from indoor air.
3. Two TRUE HEPA (H13) filters with nanosilver coating
These two filters purify 99.97% of all suspended matter down to 0.3 microns (0.3 µm) from the air.
A HEPA filter is the most effective air filter for removing:br>
• dust/fine dust, cigarette smoke, pollen
• allergens
• all other solid particles
The antibacterial layer of the nanosilver coating eliminates bacteria and mould. HEPA filters are recommended in the USA by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security..
4. UV-C LED Lamp
The ultraviolet light from the lamp (UV-C radiation) with a wavelength of 254nm kills health-harming microorganisms such as: germs, viruses, mould (mould spores) and bacteria. Furthermore, it destroys microorganisms that have accumulated in the unit. This prevents them from multiplying and being disseminated in the space by the airflow. Of all light rays, UV-C light has the highest frequency and shortest wavelength and therefore also contains the highest amount of energy which, through its radiation, penetrates the organism’s outer membrane and destroys its DNA. With thousands of units of this type installed worldwide, the built-in UV technology has proven UV radiation to be highly effective against pathogenic viruses, bacteria and single-cell organisms. Microbiological inactivation rates of 99.99% and higher can be achieved by applying UV-C light.
5. DUO ozone-free DIN EN 60335-2-65 ioniser
Two ionisers with a total capacity of more than 3,000,000 negative ions / cm³ that are dispersed throughout the room, thereby neutralising harmful substances and odours. Negative ions attach themselves to dust particles, microorganisms and other undesirable substances in the air and bind them together. These particles become heavier than the air in this way and drop down or are filtered out of the air by the air purifier.
6. Purified air
Clean, healthy breathing air flows out from the top of the air purifier into the indoor space.
Effectiveness of Clean Air Optima® air purifiers
with CADR certification
The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) effectiveness criterion determined in supplier-independent laboratory tests takes the Clean Air Optima® CA-502Pro Mini air purifier to the forefront of indoor air quality improvement systems. The high-performance filter system extracts micro-fine particles down to 0.3 microns (0.3 µm) from the air with 99.97% efficiency.
The CADR value indicates how effectively the air purifier filters particles such as smoke, dust and pollen from indoor air. This is measured by independent bodies in standard spaces up to 20.4m² and the resulting measured values range from 10 to 450 cubic feet of particle-free air per minute.
The CADR value of the CA-502Pro Mini HEPA UV ioniser air purifier is 100 M³ of particle-free air/hour
.
The high-end Clean Air Optima® CA-502Pro Mini air purifier provides users with healthy, clean breathing air in the indoor environment.

Use and maintenance
Cleaning the outside
Cleaning the outside of the air purifier:
1. Switch the unit off and pull the plug out of the socket.
2. Switch the unit off and pull the plug out of the socket.
3. Make sure no water gets into the unit.
Cleaning and replacing filters
Cleaning and replacing filters
Depending on use, the composite filters have a service life of about 2-3 months.
Signs of expired filters: increased noise level, reduced airflow, clogged filter and increased presence of odours. The HEPA filter must be replaced with a new one if it changes colour from white to grey or black. The HEPA filter does NOT need to be replaced if it remains white.
For optimal effectiveness, the pre-filter in Clean Air Optima® CA-502Pro Mini air purifier and the TRUE HEPA filters can be cleaned at monthly intervals with a soft brush or your vacuum cleaner (see CA-502Pro Mini air purifier manual).
Warning:
Never wet or rinse the composite filters (HEPA + activated carbon filter) out with water.
