With its 2 in 1 dehumidification and air purification function, the CA-707 Smart provides a year-round optimal indoor climate: Dehumidification stops once the set relative humidity is reached. With its continuous air purification function, the multifunctional Clean Air Optima® CA-707 Smart frees indoor air from allergens, mould spores, annoying animal hair, pollen, dust/fine dust and odours all year round.

Dehumidifying indoor air using condensing technology

The compact and super-powerful Clean Air Optima® CA-707 Smart condensing dehumidifier with a 2 in 1 system for dehumidification and air purification extracts excess moisture from indoor spaces up to 70m²/175m³ with a capacity of up to 20 litres/day (30°C/RH80%) and actively protects against mould growth, stains, corrosion and mud odour. This also protects the building fabric and, more importantly, your health.

A condensing dryer is the type of dehumidifier most commonly used and the CA-707 Smart can be used in wide-ranging temperatures between 5 and 32°C.

This effective dehumidifier is equipped with a compressor that passes the moist indoor air through a cooling element. Humid ambient air is thus cooled down in a very short time. The moisture in the air condenses because air can hold less moisture at low temperatures. Condensation is collected in the water tank and can be drained directly by connecting the drain hose included in the supply.

Five filter technologies for effective air purification

1. Pre-filter
The pre-filter captures large dust particles such as: lint, hair and pet dander.
2. Activated Carbon Filter
Activated carbon neutralises smoke, chemicals, gases and odours, prevents the growth of bacteria, viruses and mould.
3. TRUE HEPA H13 filter with nanosilver coating
Purifies 99.97% of all suspended matter down to 0.3 microns (0.3 µm) from the air. A HEPA filter is the most effective air filter for removing:
• dust/fine dust, cigarette smoke, pollen
• allergens
• any other solid particles
The antibacterial layer of the nanosilver coating eliminates bacteria and mould.
4. UV-C Lamp
The ultraviolet light from the permanent lamp (UV-C radiation) with a wavelength of 254nm kills health-harming microorganisms such as: germs, viruses, mould (mould spores) and bacteria.
5. Ioniser
Capacity > 3,000,000 negative ions / cm³ that are dispersed throughout the room, thus neutralising harmful substances and odours. The ioniser produces negative ions to purify the indoor air and enrich it with active oxygen. This neutralises unpleasant odours and purifies pollutants from the air. Negative ions also have a strong anti-static action.

Built-in humidistat for automatic dehumidification

The Clean Air Optima® CA-707 Smart condensing dehumidifier features a built-in humidistat for measuring, monitoring and automatically controlling relative humidity. The desired humidity can be set between 30 and 80% relative humidity.

Its well-thought-out design also indicates the humidity via the round colour monitor on the front of the unit.

BLUE = dry air range = <53%
GREEN = comfortable range = 53% - 68%
RED = high relative humidity = >68%

Large water tank and permanent water drainage

The unit switches off automatically once the water tank is full with an LED indication in the display. The large water tank in the CA-707 Smart dehumidifier has a capacity of 4 litres and is fitted with a handle.

Condensation collected in the water tank can also be drained directly by connecting the drain hose included in the supply. This means that the CA-707 dehumidifier is suitable for continuous operation and unattended use.

Automatic defrost function and restart

The Clean Air Optima® CA-707 Smart condensing dehumidifier features an automatic defrost function. Defrosting starts automatically as soon as the sensor detects that the temperature is below the set value and stops automatically when defrosting is complete. The defrosting process involves freeing the evaporator from ice by stopping the cooling process and running the fan, which melts the ice. When it restarts, the dehumidifier automatically resumes its operation while maintaining the settings.

Settings are still maintained even after a power outage, when the unit will restart automatically.

Laundry drying

The Clean Air Optima® CA-707 Smart dehumidifier with its 2 in 1 system for dehumidification and air purification supports your laundry drying. The high dehumidification capacity with high fan speed ensures good air circulation in your laundry room.

The pre-filter and TRUE HEPA H13 filter with a nanosilver coating captures large dust particles such as dust fibres and lint from the laundry room and the activated carbon filter neutralises odours.

The negative ions produced by the ioniser during the laundry drying process also have a strong anti-static effect, which benefits laundry drying.

The clearly set out digital control panel on the front of the dehumidifier features six touch keys for easy selection of the desired settings.

Usage and maintenance

Water tank and water drainage

Switch the unit off first and then pull the plug out of the socket.

Emptying the water tank
The water tank is located at the back of the unit in the bottom section. The water tank can be pulled out of the unit through the recesses on either side. After emptying the water tank, refit it in reverse order.

Automatic water discharge
Water can be drained continuously by connecting the drain hose included in the supply (10 mm diameter / 1.5 metres long) to the water tank. NB: the drain hose must always be directed downwards and the end of the hose must always be below the level of the connection to the water tank to avoid water damage. Using the standard setting, the design of the unit with a humidistat and fitting the drain hose make the CA-707 Smart dehumidifier suitable for extended use in unattended rooms.

Filter maintenance (display message 00)

Permanent pre-filter maintenance
Clean the permanent pre-filter every 2 weeks by vacuuming or rinsing with lukewarm water (NB: replace the filter dry. Do not clean with water above 40°C, do not clean with alcohol, petrol or any other flammable cleaners).

The activated carbon filter effectively filters gases, chemicals, cigarette smoke, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odours such as pet, mould, kitchen and paint odours as well as formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, nicotine, etc. from indoor air.

The activated carbon filter effectively filters gases, chemicals, cigarette smoke, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odours such as pet, mould, kitchen and paint odours as well as formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, nicotine, etc. from indoor air:
• dust/fine dust, cigarette smoke, pollen
• allergens
• all other solid particles

The antibacterial layer of the nanosilver coating eliminates bacteria and mould.

Replacing filters
The Clean Air Optima CA-707 Smart is equipped with a filter service life monitoring mechanism that indicates that the filter (HEPA + Activated Carbon Filter) must be replaced after 1,000 operating hours. The indication that the filter needs to be changed is provided by the double-zero (00) indicator light on the dehumidifier starting to flash. Reset the filter replacement timer by pressing and holding the power button for around 3 seconds. The timer has been successfully reset once the indicator light goes out. Replace the Activated Carbon Filter + TRUE HEPA H13 Filter after 3-6 months.

Miscellaneous

Clean Air Optima® dehumidifier storage

If the dehumidifier will not be used for an extended period of time:
1. Empty the water tank completely, check that there is no water left in the tank.
2. Unplug the unit and fold up the power supply cord.
3. Remove the filters and clean them. Refit the filters in the unit after cleaning.
4. Store the dehumidifier in a cool, dry location, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperature and excessive dust.
